Sun sets on Horizon, Badging Program Remains, "No, You Hold On To This!"

Here's the latest from the airport manager's office. And, yes, we're back from a 3 month hiatus, or, 90 Days of Angst. Speaking of angst, here's more wonderful news from the bureaucrats...

Vardiman says hold on to your badges, I say, "Hold on to this!"

FROM AIRPORT ADMIN (Aug 19, 2010):

Dear Airport Badge holders,

I understand that there are some rumors and some misunderstanding regarding the continued existence of the badging program at the Prescott Airport .

While Horizon Airlines will be ceasing operations on the 22nd of August, the Airport Badging Program will still be in effect after their departure.

Please continue to wear your badge while inside of the fence and plan on renewing your airport badge at the appropriate time.

The City has been and, over the upcoming months, will continue to evaluate the impacts of Horizon’s departure on all aspects of the airport and its operation including the badging program. We ask for you patience as we move forward and promise to keep you informed about the status of the badging program.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the information listed below.

Sincerely,
Benjamin Vardiman, ACE
